Practice Emphasis Regulatory Law, Administrative Law, Public Utilities, Business Transactions, Natural Resources Professional Experience Shawn Elicegui is a shareholder in Lionel Sawyer & Collins' Gaming and Regulatory Law Department. His practice includes representing corporate and individual clients in a variety of regulatory matters before local, state and federal governmental agencies. Mr. Elicegui has represented clients, both utilities and customers, in the energy, telecommunications, water and wastewater industries. In this regard, his practice experience extends from prosecuting rate increase applications and obtaining regulatory approvals of mergers and acquisitions to advocating the interests of utility customers in proceedings involving changes to utility tariff provisions. Mr. Elicegui's practice, in addition, involves representing financial institutions and corporations involved in the gaming industry. He also has experience in the legislative arena. Mr. Elicegui's civil litigation experience includes representing clients in general commercial litigation, appellate and judicial review proceedings. Before joining the Firm, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Procter R. Hug, Jr., then Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and as an extern to the Honorable Robert R. Rose, then Chief Justice of the Nevada Supreme Court.
