Professional Experience
Prior to joining Huron Shawn was a principal in LECG's electronic discovery practice. He was also a director of technical services at Document Technologies Inc. a national vendor providing scanning and electronic discovery services to law firms.

Document Management
P&L and operations responsibility for an over $2 M per year scanning and electronic discovery operation consisting of 10 seats running two full-time shifts and an on-call third shift.
Managed multi-million page document productions providing scanning quality control and post processing services. Prepared load files for Summation Concordance and Trialmax as well as various web-based review platforms.
Electronic Discovery
Business manager responsible for developing tools processes and procedures to estimate and report budgeted and actual electronic discovery costs incurred by a Fortune 50 pharmaceutical company.
Developed and managed a pilot program to determine the feasibility of performing off-shore redaction of over 1 00 000 pages of email and related electronic documents on-site in India.
Provided discovery and project management services to a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company's legal data services department. Developed standard operating procedures promoting best practices while complying with its electronic discovery policy.
Performed forensic data acquisition of hard drives from desktop notebook and laptop computers as well as PDA devices using Encase for a reinsurance company located in Bermuda.
Litigation Support/Data Analysis
Analyzed billions of paid claims in response to an anti-trust matter in which over 100 000 retail pharmacies alleged collusion and price fixing by a major pharmacy benefits manager.
Led a team of consultants to support a Holocaust insurance class action litigation on-site in Munich Germany. Designed a database application to collect analyze and report data obtained from life insurance and property and casualty policies held by Holocaust victims between 1920 and 1950.
Directed a team of over 30 consultants and contract programmers/analysts in converting managing and analyzing millions of health care claims for over 20 states and U.S. Territories involved in the historic state Medicaid tobacco litigation.
Provided data conversion and damages analysis for numerous anti-trust matters class actions and settlement agreements involving alleged price fixing of eggs movie contracts and airfares within the grocery entertainment and airline industries.
Developed a database application used to track and process claims arising from lost profits idle and inefficient labor and other business interruption damages alleged by business and residential customers due to a significant power outage incurred by a major large west coast public utility.
Expert Witness
Expert witness in the deposition of various 30(b)(6) deponents. Provided an affidavit that was used in mediation resulting in a favorable settlement.
