Shaun is responsible for Shopatron’s European operations, overseeing sales, marketing, client services and customer service for the region. Prior to joining Shopatron, Shaun was a senior consultant providing direct to consumer Web sites for financial services companies in the UK. Shaun architected software and Web service solutions designed to use leading edge Web technologies to maximise the return on investment of retail Web sites. In particular, Shaun directly managed the paid traffic efforts of large mortgage brokers using Google Pay-per-click and other online marketing efforts. These were organizations spending hundreds or thousands of dollars each month on direct to consumer advertising. Shaun also spent 8 years as a founder/manager for Mitron Inc., a company formed as a spin off from the Tektronix Development Corporation and located in Portland, Oregon. Mitron provided UNIX and PC software solutions that converted the databases of Electrical Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems into the machine programs required by automatic assembly and test equipment used in manufacturing. Shaun was the managing director of the UK operation that provided sales and support throughout the northern region of Europe. Mitron was acquired in 1992 by GenRad Inc. for $20M. Shaun received a Masters degree in Engineering from Trinity Hall, Cambridge and was a national engineering scholar sponsored by the UK Ministry of Defence.
