As a software engineer, Dr. Zhou particpates in several projects. He is currently working on a new system that monitors the production of powdered aluminum for solid rocket fuel, paint, and a variety of personal products. This application is a state of the art process that provides monitoring and data collection functions from multiple sites within the plant.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE
Before joining TelePro, Dr. Zhou worked for a large automobile credit company as a software engineer. He designed and developed a client/server funding system (full-life cycle), with interface programs for reporting.
Prior to that, Dr. Zhou did research for the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics (JILA) at the University of Colorado in Boulder. There he developed graphical user interface experiment control and data acquisition systems (BPIB and CAMAC) using Visual Basic and C. He also developed simulation programs for the trajectory of charged particles in an electromagnetic field, the detection of synchrony in the discharge of a population of neurons, and the applications of quantum cryptography.
Earlier he worked as a Research Associate at Wayne State University, where he designed, programmed, and built computer control systems (BPIB and DAQ) for data acquisition and experiment control. He also conducted experiments of low energy particle interactions.
