Shad earned dual BS degrees from Washington State University in 1996 - one in Pre Medical Biology and the other in Athletic Training. After WSU, he pursued his Master's of Science Degree in Human Performance from the University of Tennessee in 1998. While at UT, Shad worked as a Graduate Assistant trainer for Volleyball, Track & Field and Rowing. After UT, he accepted a position at the USOC Training Center in San Diego as a Staff Athletic Trainer. In 1999, Shad traveled to the University of Denver where he served as the Assistant Athletic Trainer and was promoted to Associate Director of Sports Medicine working closely with varsity Volleyball, Hockey, Alpine & Nordic Skiing, Cross Country, Tennis and Lacrosse. While in Colorado, he also fulfilled teaching duties as an Assistant Professor for various Athletic Training classes at Metropolitan State College. In 2002, he moved to Atlanta, GA to serve as the General Manager for Velocity Sports Performance Training Center and congruently worked as an Athletic Trainer for a local high school. Shad joined Athletes' Performance in March of 2003. |
