He became a director in November 2000 and is the founder and General Partner of JAM Partners, L.P., a hedge fund based in New York City and the managing member of Jacobs Asset Management LLC, an investment management firm also located in New York City. Prior to founding these firms, Mr. Jacobs worked as an investment securities analyst from 1983-1995, including most recently with Alex. Brown and Sons which served as the lead underwriter of the Company's initial public offering. Mr. Jacobs is a member of the Audit Committee and Compensation Committee of First Investors. |
