Of Counsel to the firm, Serle Mosoff concentrates his practice in domestic and international patent, trademark and licensing matters. Domestically, Serle has prosecuted numerous patents, largely in the chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. He has also served as a private sector advisor to the U.S. Department of State on international technology transfer and restrictive trade practices.
Serle has extensive corporate experience, having been Corporate Counsel and managing the law department at Enzo Biochem, a New York City biotechnology company. He previously held the positions of Senior Patent Counsel for Schering Plough Corp., Manager of Legal Services for the New Technology and Licensing Division of Diamond Shamrock Corp., and Divisional Patent Counsel for United States Steel Corporation.
Outside the U.S., Serle has negotiated business arrangements of various types in Europe, Asia, South America and Africa, including negotiations with governmental agencies in Eastern Europe and South America. He is experienced in the development and implementation of major technology transfer and multinational research agreements.
Serle has lectured on intellectual property and technology transfer topics before the Cleveland and New Jersey Patent Law Associations. He also chaired a workshop entitled Organizing for Technology Transfer for the Licensing Executives Society. Serle works out of the firm’s New York City office. |
