Sean P. McLaughlin founded the Eze Castle family of companies which provide technology solutions to investment professionals. McLaughlin spent ten years as Chairman and CEO of Eze Castle Software, an industry-recognized leader in the business of order management, portfolio construction, and investment compliance tools. In 2006, Eze Castle Software joined BNY ConvergEx Group, for which Sean now serves on the board. He also serves on the board of Eze Castle Integration and Pivot Solutions. In 2005, Sean was selected as a White House Fellow, and he spent one year working as a high-level advisor to the Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service through this prestigious leadership and public service program. Sean has recently started a personal investment company, Hurdle Rate Capital, and continues to serve his community through the Camel Needle-eye Corporation, a 501(c)(3) organization he founded with the purpose of educating the public on agricultural issues. McLaughlin was named a winner in the Ernst and Young Software Entrepreneur of the Year in 2004. In addition, he was named one of "Boston Business Journal's 2004, 40 under 40" representing Boston's next generation of business leaders and innovators. Other awards include, ranking #81 and #142 in Inc 500 fastest growing private companies in 2002 and 2003 respectively. He received the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award in 2001, Deloitte and Touche New England Fast 50 company award in 2000, and Deloitte and Touche Fast 500 Company, in 2000. Sean is a former Air Force reservist and holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Harvard University. |
