Sean Keaton is a partner in the firm's Technology and Outsourcing Group based in London.
Sean's experience includes advising a large UK bank on the outsourcing of its mortgage origination, servicing and payment transmission services (and the subsequent renegotiation) and ABN AMRO in relation to its Global IT Outsourcing Programme. He has also advised The Northern Trust Company, GE Consumer Finance and two major international Investment Banks on BPO transactions. Sean has also advised some of the world's leading corporations on a wide range of outsourcing projects, including GE Capital, Coca-Cola, Volvo, LCH.Clearnet and Exxon Mobil.
Sean has acted for a number of leading suppliers in the information technology field, including Liberata, Gecis, EDS, Xchanging and Perot Systems. His recent experience includes advising a major supplier to the NHS's ICRS programme and T-Systems on HM Revenue and Customs' LRUC programme.
Sean qualified as a solicitor in Australia where he worked in Australia's leading IT practice, and spent five years at the London office of Clifford Chance LLP, before joining Milbank in 2004.
Sean was nominated as one of Australia's leading young lawyers in the independent publication, Legal Profiles, in 2000 and has been nominated by The Lawyer as one of its "Hot 100" lawyers for 2005 - the only outsourcing lawyer to be included. Sean has also been named as one of the UK's leading BPO practitioner in the 2006 edition of Chambers. |
