Mr. Brophy has a wide range of investment experience across multiple segments of the EMS value chain, including printed circuit board design, fabrication, assembly, final system build & integration and metal fabrication (enclosures). During his career, Mr. Brophy has been involved in the acquisition of 14 EMS companies including the predecessor companies to Dynamic Details, Inc. and Surface Mount Technology Centre, Inc.
Mr. Brophy is a Managing Director of The Labrador Companies, LLC, a private holding company that acquires middle market manufacturing and service companies for long term investment. Prior to co-founding Labrador, Mr. Brophy was a Principal and General Partner of Celerity Partners, Inc., a $250 million private equity firm focused on industries with a compelling premise for consolidation. Prior to Celerity, Mr. Brophy was an Associate at W.E. Myers & Company, a merchant banking firm.
Mr. Brophy earned a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Utah and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University. He is a Director of numerous private companies and previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of Dynamic Details, Inc.
