As President and CEO of Planet Technologies, Scott heads up Planet's six offices in the United States and Europe. Since he founded Planet Technologies in 1998, the business has grown from a staff of just three to over 100 employees. Planet's success today is largely due to Scott's passion for developing his people at the highest level and for building a formidable executive support team respected throughout the Information Technologies (IT) industry. Under Scott’s leadership, Planet has been recognized with Microsoft Federal Partner awards in 2005 and 2006 including the Microsoft Federal Partner of the Year. Planet was also recognized as a Microsoft Public Sector Partner of the Year for 2006.
Scott is an active participant in the Microsoft Small Business Consortium, the Microsoft Government Contractor Executive Committee as well as organizations such as the Maryland High Tech Council. Scott was formerly the CEO of eQuest Technologies a leading provider of Microsoft based services to the world-wide hosting community. Prior to this role, he was the President of Patriot Technologies, a nationally recognized cyber security services and training firm and has also held the position of engineer and sales executive at Pioneer Technologies Group, the largest privately held distributor of IT equipment in the United States.
Scott serves on James Madison University’s Executive Advisory Board for their CIS program in the College of Business. In 2006, Scott served as the Corporate Chair for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night” Walk. He also works closely with the Veteran’s Administration.
Scott is a graduate of James Madison University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Scott was a full scholarship student athlete at the University of Alabama for football. |
