Currently retired, Mr. Tabakin is a seasoned executive who brings to the board nearly 24 years of financial services experience, as well as significant public company expertise. This experience includes his recent service as Executive Vice President and CFO of Amerigroup, a managed health-care company, through the fall of 2003 as well as his prior service as Executive Vice President and CFO of Beverly Enterprises, Inc., the nation's largest provider of long-term health care. Earlier in his career, he was an executive with the accounting firm of Ernst & Young. In addition to his substantial financial acumen, he has valuable experience working with both fast-growing companies and publicly traded entities. Currently, he sits on the boards of LifeNet, Horizon Hampton Roads, Jewish Family Services of Tidewater and the Jewish Community Center of Tidewater. Mr. Tabakin is a Certified Public Accountant, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. |
