Scott Storrer leads Cardinal Health’s $76 billion pharmaceutical supply chain services business, which operates one of the nation’s largest pharmaceutical supply chains, making more than 40,000 deliveries daily to hospitals, retail pharmacies and alternate-care sites, nationwide.
Storrer is responsible for pharmaceutical distribution, specialty pharmaceutical services, nuclear pharmacy services and Medicine Shoppe franchise operations.
He joined Cardinal Health in 2007 from CIGNA, a $16 billion company with 27,000 employees, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President of Service Operations and Information Technology. Storrer joined CIGNA in 2001, and also served as Senior Vice President of Service Operations and as Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for its Group Disability and Life business.
Storrer began his career in 1989 as part of General Electric’s Financial Management Program and worked on several business acquisitions and integrations. In 1993, he joined Liberty Mutual, where he held a variety of senior leadership roles of increasing responsibility, and served as a transition executive for several acquisitions, including the Ontario Blue Cross Blue Shield acquisition. Shortly thereafter, he became Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Group Benefits.
Storrer earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and mathematics from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., and a master’s degree in business administration from Boston University. |
