Scott Self, senior vice president, is responsible for all brokerage production and client services provided by Collins' Burlington, N.C. office. The office serves a variety of property and casualty insurance clients; its specialties include long-tail casualty business, workers' compensation, general liability and coverage for long-haul trucking operations. He is also Collins' practice leader for workers' compensation, ensuring that brokers throughout the organization have access to the most up-to-date expertise and information needed to serve workers' compensation clients.
Professional Background
Mr. Self began his reinsurance career with Burlington-based R/I reinsurance intermediaries in 1987. He remained with that operation through a series of mergers and acquisitions that eventually made it part of Willis reinsurance brokers, where Mr. Self was senior vice president before joining Collins as senior vice president in 2001.
Mr. Self holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. |
