Scott brings fifteen years of experience in computer security and marketing to iovation, where he is responsible for developing and leading all strategic marketing initiatives.
Scott is a recognized thought leader in Security. He has had articles published in such publications as Computerworld and has spoken at security events such as RSA and Digital ID World. Most recently, Scott headed the marketing team at Mirage Networks a provider of Network Access Control solutions. Prior to Mirage Networks, Scott ran marketing at WholeSecurity, a behavioral endpoint security solution provider, which was sold to Symantec in 2005. In addition to other marketing leadership roles at NetSolve and productmarketing.com, Scott co-founded WheelGroup Corporation, which produced the first commercially viable Intrusion Detection System (IDS), known as NetRanger. In 1998, WheelGroup was acquired by Cisco Systems and NetRanger became the backbone of their IDS technology.
Scott started his career as an early member of the Air Force Computer Emergency Response Team, where he tracked hackers and protected, tested and monitored Air Force sites.
Scott holds a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering from Duke University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. In 2007 Scott received the Distinguished Young Alumni award from the Duke University Pratt School of Engineering. Scott is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). |
