Dr. MacAdam is Vice President of Research & Development. He is a chemical engineer with more than eight years' R&D experience in the energy field, with specific expertise in gas and coal combustion, coal gasification, oxy-combustion, and air pollution control. Prior to joining CES, he was a lead engineer in the Energy Production and Generation business unit at Western Research Institute (WRI) in Laramie, Wyoming. There he was responsible for clean coal combustion and gasification technology development, and the development of coal-to-hydrogen processes. Prior to WRI, Dr. MacAdam worked for Air Liquide as a combustion scientist in their Chicago Research Center, where he investigated and developed new applications for oxygen in the field of power generation. Dr. MacAdam holds a PhD and MS in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), with specialization in combustion and air pollution control, and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Natal, South Africa. He is the author of numerous papers, and a co-inventor on five patents. |
