Scott Kauffman, president and chief operating officer of BlueLithium, a Yahoo! company Scott Kauffman is president and chief operating officer (COO) of BlueLithium, a leading data driven performance marketing company. He joined the Zango Board of Directors in September 2005. Scott has deep experience in traditional and online publishing along with advertising, digital media and Web technology. His background includes leadership positions at CompuServe and Time Warner, where Scott served on the founding team of Entertainment Weekly magazine and as vice president of business development for Time Warner Interactive. At CompuServe, he was responsible for all consumer businesses and was a member of the road show team for the company's 1996 initial public offering. Prior to Time Warner, Scott was also a publisher and general manager at Newsweek. He was recruited to Silicon Valley in 1997 by Kleiner Perkins to become president and CEO of AdKnowledge. After selling AdKnowledge to CMGI in 1999, Scott ran eCoverage (direct-to-consumer insurance), Coremetrics (leader in web analytics), MusicNow (online music service) and Zinio (pioneer in digital publishing). Scott was honored by Advertising Age in 1996 as one of twenty Digital Media Masters. In July of 1992, Advertising Age named him one of the top 100 marketers in the country. He received an A.B. in English from Vassar College and an MBA in marketing from New York University. |
