Scott spent the first 9 years of his career in engineering and marketing in both the aerospace and computer systems industries. In 1991, he shifted over to software where he has worked ever since. At Tivoli Systems from 1991-1996, he led product marketing, the applications management product division, and finally marketing and strategy for the company. During that time, Tivoli grew from $4M in annual revenues to a $250M+ division of IBM. In 1997, Scott co-founded Motive Communications with four others and served as CEO and President through Feb of 2006. During that time, Motive grew from 0 to $80M in annual revenues and 400 employees worldwide and established itself as the market leader for management software for the broadband communications industry. During his 9 year tenure, Scott oversaw the company’s growth both through organic product and market development as well as through 3 different strategic acquisitions. Scott holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Iowa State University. |
