Scott Gardner is a General Foreman at Midwest Electric. He has worked as a foreman for contractors on American Electric Power (AEP) property in Indiana and Michigan for more than 15 years.With 20 years of experience in the high-voltage electrical field, Scott has worked on underground, distribution and sub-transmission projects. A second-generation lineman, his father recently retired after serving 38 years in the trade.A mentor to others in International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local Unions 1393 and 876, Scott is proud of teaching leadership and technical skills to those growing in the trade. Several foreman and other members of his current crews have worked with Scott on previous projects.Working more than 30,000 hours of hot time, Scott is proud of his safety record and shares this as the No. 1 goal for all of his crews.Born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Scott grew up in Lafayette, Indiana, where he received his welding technical certificate from Ivy Tech. A true outdoorsman, Gardner is an avid fisherman, hunter and snow mobiler. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. |
