Effective January 1, 2004, Scott Dupons assumed the duties of Gillman Companies' Chief Operating Officer, a position vacated by the retirement of A. Jay Gould.
Scott, who was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, which was the original home of American Motors, has been active in the automobile business since 1986. In 1992, after a highly successful sales career, he joined the Gillman Companies as General Sales Manager of the Honda dealership on Bellaire Boulevard. In 1994 he became General Manager of Gillman Mitsubishi, then was appointed General Manager of Gillman Honda and Gillman Subaru in 1995.
He attended Indiana University and Purdue University in Indianapolis, the NADA General Dealership Management Program, and the Gillman Management Certification Program. He has also completed numerous industry-related and manufacturers' courses as well as serving on several national automotive boards. In addition, to being an Eagle Scout, Scott is a Life Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Married, Scott resides in Katy, Texas with his wife, Cynthia, and son and daughter. |
