Since joining Gencom in August of 2004, Scott Denton has been actively involved in numerous aspects of the company's growth and development. Scott's primary function involves financial analysis and underwriting of development and acquisition investments, due diligence, as well as oversight of development activities. Prior to joining Gencom, Scott was the senior financial analyst at Mexico City-based Grupo Oceana, one of Mexico's premier hospitality advisory firms. In this role, he provided advisory services for more than $400 million in development and acquisition transactions in numerous key Mexico tourism markets, including: Los Cabos, the Riviera Maya/Cancun, Ixtapa, Acapulco, and multiple five-star hotel development projects along Mexico City's Reforma Avenue. Scott also worked five years with the tax and legal services practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Tokyo, Japan. Scott Denton received a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in accounting from Boston University. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. |
