Scott Bingham is a managing director in the Transaction Advisory Services group of FTI’s Corporate Finance practice and is based in Atlanta. Mr. Bingham has provided clients with acquisition advice on engagements, ranging from $30 billion LBO’s and multi-billion dollar white knight defenses of hostile take-over targets to million dollar private equity placements and strategic add-on acquisitions.
Mr. Bingham has significant experience in a variety of industries, including healthcare, consumer products and services, manufacturing and technology (software and telecom). His corporate clients have included BellSouth, Michelin N.A., Flowers Foods and Landmark Communications. Mr. Bingham’s private equity and financial buyer clients have included Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch Private Equity, BNP Paribas, FCP Investors, Trident Capital and Galen Partners.
Mr. Bingham has assisted both strategic and financial buyers throughout the deal continuum, including the identification of potential targets, due diligence, contract structuring and negotiations, and transition planning. In addition, he has experience in advising clients on technical deal specifications, including leverage recapitalizations, stock v. asset acquisitions and taxation planning considerations.
Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Bingham was the practice leader for Healthcare Transaction Consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Prior to that, Mr. Bingham was a managing director in the company’s Advisory practice. In 1997, Mr. Bingham facilitated in the launch of the Atlanta office Transaction Services practice at PwC. Prior to joining PwC, Mr. Bingham was director of corporate development for a private equity portfolio company whose primary investors included Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe and William Blair and Co.
Mr. Bingham holds a B.S. in accounting, cum laude, from Miami University and is a certified public accountant in the state of Georgia. |
