Scott Taylor’s areas of concentration have been principally tax planning and business advisory services, tax preparation and review, and representation before the Internal Revenue Service for individuals, real estate partnerships and limited liability companies, large and small closely-held corporations and not-for-profit organizations. Also he has provided services for business valuations and litigation support services. Services also include tax and business advisory services regarding entity choice and deal structuring and managing accounting service engagements for small business clients. Mr. Taylor has extensive experience with real estate transactions dealing with partnerships and Limited Liability Companies (LLCs), including Internal Revenue Code Sec.1031 tax-free exchanges, and investment activities. Mr. Taylor graduated with honors from Brigham Young University receiving both a bachelor of science in accounting and a masters degree with a tax emphasis. He has served his clients with tax and accounting services since 1990 and lectured on tax reform legislation for the firm, its clients and not-for-profit entities in Southern Nevada. Mr. Taylor served as former treasurer for Families and Child Treatment of Southern Nevada (FACT), a United Way supported not-for-profit organization. Also served as the former treasurer for the Boys Chorus of Southern Nevada and treasurer/co-founder of Suzuki Association of Nevada and has served on the board of the Foundation for Las Vegas Business Development. He currently serves on the following boards: Treasurer, Las Vegas Mormon Youth Symphony & Chorus Assistant Treasurer, Nevada Republican Party Co-Trustee, Nevada Community Foundation with various Supporting Organization Trusts He is a member of the Nevada and Utah Societies and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and currently serves on the Nevada Society’s Tax Interest and Careers Committees. |
