Scott has a commercial litigation practice. He has litigated a wide range of commercial lawsuits and arbitrations involving myriad of substantive and procedural issues often arising in commercial disputes, including prosecution and defense breach of warranties in stock or asset sale agreements, contract interpretation and intent, fraud, fraudulent conveyance, DTPA, ERISA, arbitration, personal jurisdiction, injunctions, and removal, and involving many industries, including managed care, commercial real estate, financial institutions, oil and gas production, environmental services, investment banking, grocery, on-line brokerage, internet services, medical device, pipe manufacturing, power, and gas marketing. He occasionally has handled appellate matters and has argued or done the briefing for the reported cases: Minucci v. Sogevalor, S.A., 14 S.W.3d 790 (Tex. App.Houston [1st Dist.] 2000, no writ), briefing in Birdwell v. Skeen, 983 F.2d 1332 (5th Cir. 1993), and briefing, plus second chair trial assistance, in In re WCC Holdings Corp., 171 B.R. 972 (Bankr. N.D. Tex. 1994). He has also handled a number of pro bono divorce cases, and he currently assists the firm's General Counsel as the Assistant General Counsel.
