Scott S. Bednas is a Vice President in the Chicago office of Duff & Phelps, LLC and has worked on a variety of financial advisory assignments involving mergers and acquisitions, fairness opinions, solvency opinions, business valuations, intangible asset valuations, ESOP transactions, and purchase price allocations.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Mr. Bednas was a Project Manager at Compuware Corporation, an information technology (IT) services firm. Mr. Bednas managed the financial, operational, and human resource aspects of numerous projects over nine years of IT industry experience.
Mr. Bednas holds a B.A. in economics and political science from the University of Michigan. Mr. Bednas also holds an M.B.A from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, from which he graduated with high distinction. In addition, he was elected to the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society at the University of Michigan. Mr. Bednas is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level III candidate.
Mr. Bednas is a member in the following organizations: the CFA Institute, the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago, and the Business Valuation Association.
