Dr. Harris is a gastroenterologist with extensive experience in pharmaceutical development, academic research, and clinical practice. He has held senior positions in global clinical research and medical affairs at Abbott Laboratories, Schwarz Pharma, Otsuka America, and, most recently, Napo Pharmaceuticals, where he was Vice President of Clinical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer. He is currently Professor of Clinical Medicine and Head of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Harris has served on the advisory boards of the International Foundation of Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders and Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America and has been elected to fellowship in the American Gastoenterological Association and American College of Physicians. |
