Scott Dolan is United's senior vice president-Airport Operations and Cargo. He is based at the company’s operations center in suburban Chicago.
Named to the position in May 2006, Dolan is responsible for United’s worldwide airport operations, including on-time performance, customer service and ramp operations, as well as all aspects of United Cargo's revenue, marketing, operations, product quality and customer service.
Dolan previously held the position of United's senior vice president and president of United Cargo.
Prior to joining United in May 2004, Dolan held the position of senior vice president and chief operating officer of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations for both Atlas Air and Polar Air Cargo. Prior to this position, he served as Polar’s vice president of operational performance and quality. Shortly after Atlas acquired Polar, he accepted the position of vice president of business integration and soon became the company’s vice president of operations. Dolan’s career also includes a number of positions held at General Electric (GE) both in the United States and abroad. He is trained as a Master Black Belt in GE’s Six Sigma quality program.
Dolan holds a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree in systems control and industrial engineering from Case Western Reserve University. He currently serves on the board for Cargo Network Services and Cargo 2000, is an executive member of the IATA Cargo Committee, and a member of the ATA Cargo Committee. |
