Mr. Lesmes, Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, has been employed by Allied Capital since 2007. He currently serves on the Management Committee. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Lesmes served as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Fannie Mae from 2005 to 2007 where he was responsible for corporate, securities and securitization legal matters. From 2000 to 2005, he was a Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for corporate and securities matters. Earlier in his career, he served as an Associate at Silver, Freedman and Taff, LLP specializing in mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and various financing transactions. Mr. Lesmes is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the Virginia State Bar and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst. He earned a B.S. from Elon University and a J.D. from the College of William and Mary. |
