Dr. Beaven has worked in the area of remote sensing since 1990. From 1990-1995 he was a Doctoral Fellow at the University of Kansas Radar Systems and Remote Sensing Laboratory, and from 1995-2000 he was with the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWAR) in San Diego, where, among other activities, he served as Program Manager for real-time target detection and recognition under DARPA's Adaptive Spectral Reconnaissance Program (ASRP). Since he joined Space Computer Corporation, Dr. Beaven's work has focused on adaptive detection methods for hyperspectral image data. This work has been carried out under various programs sponsored bye DARPA, NVESD, and the High-Performance Computing Modernization Office (HPCMO). Dr. Beaven holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas. |
