Mr. Dupree is the principal legal advisor to The ConAm Group of Companies. His responsibilities include: (i) negotiations, document preparation, due diligence review and closings related to the acquisitions, sales and financing of ConAm’s portfolio properties; (ii) negotiation and documentation of partnership and operating agreements associated with ConAm’s real estate investments; (iii) review and supervision of litigation for both insured and uninsured matters; (iv) counsel to ConAm regarding development and construction activities and risk assessment: (v) oversees ConAm’s Risk Management Department which places all lines of insurance coverage, claims handling and safety/loss control services; (vi) employee benefit plan structuring; and (vii) ConAm 401k Plan Trustee.
Mr. Dupree monitors regulatory compliance for ConAm with respect to its property management activities throughout the United States. He is a California Real Estate Broker and serves as the Broker Officer for ConAm in California.
Prior to joining ConAm in January 1985, Mr. Dupree was, for seven years, corporate counsel to Truste House Forte, Inc., a major international hotel and restaurant operator. While at Trust House, he conducted property acquisition and partnership formation for its domestic U.S. activities.
Mr. Dupree holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Economics from United States International University and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Diego. He has been licensed to practice law in California since 1977. He is active in State and local Bar Associations, the National Multi-Housing Council and in the California Apartment Association where he serves on CAA’s Policy and Research Council. |
