Mr. Seiler’s practice focuses on complex litigation matters relating to occupational disease, mass tort, environmental cleanup, property damage, contribution disputes and insurance coverage litigation. He heads the firm's Toxic Tort and Occupational Disease Section.Mr. Seiler has handled numerous litigation matters for industrial clients related to a variety of substances including asbestos, benzene, ozone, dioxin and mold. He has been appointed Special Master of the Court in class action cases involving mold and fungal substances. His work in environmental law includes regulatory and transactional environmental matters. He has spoken on numerous topics, such as criminal liability for environmental regulatory violations, whistle-blower actions, transactional concerns related to environmental regulatory issues, citizen suits and wetlands regulation, and many issues related to occupational disease and toxic tort litigation. Additional subjects on which he has presented lectures and seminars are toxic tort, asbestos and natural occurring radioactive material (NORM) litigation.Mr. Seiler is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Bar Association's Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources Law ("SEER") and serves on its Toxic Tort and Environmental Litigation Committee, and has been a Vice Chair of its Marine Resources Committee. He has published several articles and contributes yearly to the SEER's Year in Review publication. |
