Scott Butterfield was promoted to senior vice president of research and strategic planning in May 2006, after serving as vice president of strategic planning since 1999. He is responsible for aligning Lowe's consumer research to its business strategy, developing programs and services to meet customers' needs and the company's growth. Butterfield has more than 20 years of strategic planning, finance and management experience, having previously served in positions at companies including Pizza Hut, Inc., Kraft General Foods and The Quaker Oats Company. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Iowa and a master's degree in management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. |
