Professional Experience
In seven years in the restructuring practice at Kroll Zolfo Cooper, Scott has represented various stakeholders in distressed business situations. Recently Scott served as Chief Restructuring Officer of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, where he focused on rationalization and restructuring of the company’s domestic and international franchise network. As Chief Restructuring Officer of Maxim Crane, Scott led significant operational improvements while implementing a rapid exit from bankruptcy proceedings. Other notable assignments representing either creditor or debtor interests include Solutia, NationsRent, Home Life, Stone & Webster, Washington Group.
Prior to joining Kroll Zolfo Cooper, Scott spent 17 years at Sonnenblick-Goldman, the New York-based real estate investment bank where he held several positions, ultimately serving as COO and CFO. As a partner and a member of the management committee, Scott played an active role not only in the internal management of Sonnenblick-Goldman, but in many of the large commercial real estate transactions executed by the firm. Scott began his career in the audit practice of KPMG.
