Mr. Wieler has over twenty years of investment banking experience. Prior to founding Signal Hill in 2002, Mr. Wieler was Head of the Global Telecommunications Group at DB Alex. Brown, where he supervised approximately 100 employees across numerous offices in the United States, Europe and Asia. While global co-head of media and communications, his group completed an excess of 180 transactions including 90 public, private equity and convertible issues raising in excess of $34 billion; 44 high yield and investment grade offerings raising more than $15.5 billion and 46 merger and acquisition assignments with value in excess of $16.5 billion. Notable Group clients included: AT&T, Aether Systems, Amazon.com, American Publishing, Apollo Group, Brooks Fiber Properties, DeVry, Dialpage, Doubleclick, eBay, Eller Media, Exodus, Gartner Group, IDT Corporation, ITT Education, Lamar Advertising, MCI, Mtel, Net2Phone, Nextel, Nextel Partners, Outdoor Systems, Price Communication, Primark, Primus Telecom, Prometric, Scholastic, Sylvan Learning, TMP Worldwide, Verio, Wharton Econometrics and Yankee Group. Mr. Wieler was Co-Head of the Media and Telecommunications Group at DB Alex. Brown prior to becoming Head of Global Telecommunications Group. Prior to joining Alex. Brown and its predecessor companies, Mr. Wieler was Managing Director of BT Securities Corporation. Mr. Wieler earned his BA degree from Boston College and his MBA from The Wharton School. He serves on the boards of directors of Antenna Research Associates, Inc., the Wharton School Graduate Board and the Gilman School.
