Scott A. Richards is a Senior Vice President at FMV Opinions and he also leads the firm’s New York office. Mr. Richards brings over 25 years experience in business valuation to FMV. Over this period, he performed and managed a wide variety of client engagements for purposes of gift and estate tax filings, corporate and shareholder planning, employee stock ownership plans, litigation, and other purposes. He has provided valuation services for transaction fairness and has consulted in capital structure changes. Mr. Richards has valued common and preferred stock of operating companies, debt instruments, fractional interests in real estate, and interests in investment holding companies. His clients have ranged from small private companies to large privately held and public companies. Mr. Richards has provided expert testimony and litigation consulting regarding valuation of closely held stock. Prior to joining FMV Opinions, Mr. Richards served as Vice President with Management Planning, Inc., where he managed and prepared business valuation engagements for a variety of purposes. Mr. Richards specialized in tax and transaction-based valuations in the media and communications fields with an emphasis in the newspaper publishing industry. Mr. Richards graduated from Susquehanna University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration – Finance, and attended Rutgers Graduate School of Management – M.B.A. Program. |
