Scott A. Marcus concentrates his practice exclusively in the area of real estate law representing buyers, sellers as well as mortgage lenders with their real estate needs. Since 1994, Mr. Marcus’ experience has included residential and commercial acquisitions and dispositions, examination and issuance of title insurance as well as representation of developers in multiple unit closings. In addition Mr. Marcus serves as counsel to both commercial landlords and tenants with respect to drafting, review and analysis of commercial leases. During his extensive real estate career, Mr. Marcus has successfully conducted numerous real estate transactions. As a tribute to his prolific practice, in 2003 Mr. Marcus was recognized as one of the largest volume solo practitioners (based on title premium remittance) for Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund. Mr. Marcus has also served as an expert witness in real estate related litigation matters. Activities & Memberships Mr. Marcus is an adjunct professor at Miami Dade College where he prepares students for the Title Insurance Agent State licensing exam. He is a member of the Florida Bar, a licensed Florida Realtor and member of the Bar's Real Property, Probate and Trust Division and Attorneys Real Estate Counsel where he is a member of the Contract Drafting Committee. He speaks conversational German and represents German investors acquiring property in Florida. |
