Scot A. Griffin serves as senior vice president and general counsel. He initially joined Tessera in November 2002 as director of IP. He also served as vice president of IP and Licensing from March 2005 through November 2006. Prior to joining Tessera, Griffin was Group IP counsel for Intel Corporation's Technology and Manufacturing Group. He also served as patent litigator at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP, Palo Alto, California, from May 1996 until February 2000, when he joined Intel. Griffin also gained experience as a patent attorney at Blakely, Sokoloff, Taylor & Zafman in Sunnyvale, California.
Griffin holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, San Francisco. Griffin is also a member of the California Bar and the U.S. Patent Bar.
