Saundra L. Rice is a partner in the law firm of McDermott, Will & Emery LLP, resident in the Firm's Chicago office. Saundra began practicing at McDermott in 1996 and was named a partner in 2001. She is a member of the Firm's Trial Department, where she concentrates her practice in domestic relations and family law matters.
Saundra was named an Illinois Super Lawyer in the area of Family Law by Law & Politics in 2005 and 2006. She is a Fellow in the most prestigious national specialty bar association in family law, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Admission to this national organization requires extensive oral and written testing, and peer and judicial recommendations. Additionally, Saundra was elected to serve on the Board of Managers of the Illinois Chapter of the Academy.
Saundra co-authored a chapter on Dissipation of Marital Assets in Tax and Financial Planning Strategies in Divorce. She has also presented to the Chicago Bar Association, Young Lawyer's Matrimonial Law Section in the area of grandparent visitation, and has lectured at the Family Law Institute of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
