Satya Nadella is corporate vice president responsible for Microsoft Business Solutions. The Microsoft Business Solutions group develops and markets the line of Microsoft Dynamics products that manage financial, customer relationship and supply chain management functions for small and midsize businesses, large organizations and divisions of global enterprises.
Nadella joined Microsoft in 1992 and prior to assuming the overall business leadership role of Microsoft Business Solutions, Nadella led the Microsoft Dynamics global development team located in Copenhagen, Fargo, Hyderabad and Redmond. Nadella’s responsibilities included development of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Dynamics GP, Dynamics NAV, Dynamics AX, Dynamics SL and Microsoft Office Small Business products.
Before coming to Microsoft Business Solutions, Nadella held a number of Microsoft marketing, product development and general management roles including launching and leading the Microsoft bCentral small business online service; and general manager for the Commerce Platforms Group and led the development efforts for Microsoft Commerce Server and Microsoft BizTalk Server. Nadella was also a key member of several advanced technology incubation efforts inside Microsoft, including interactive television (ITV) and digital rights management (DRM). Nadella's first assignment at Microsoft was in the Windows Developer Relations group, where he was a program manager.
Before joining Microsoft, Nadella was a member of the technology staff at Sun Microsystems Inc.
Nadella has a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago. |
