Sarah practices in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, including healthcare litigation and complex business litigation. She has significant experience with Certificate of Need law and regulations and has litigated a wide variety of Certificate of Need cases, including those involving MRIs, linear accelerators, dialysis stations, home health agencies and hospice agencies. Sarah has participated in trials and hearings before the Office of Administrative Hearings, Superior Court, the North Carolina Business Court, the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court. She has also represented health care practitioners in administrative proceedings involving Medicare claims.
Prior to joining the firm in 2005, Sarah served as a law clerk to the Honorable Linda M. McGee at the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Sarah received a B.A. in Philosophy, magna cum laude, from Point Loma Nazarene University. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Wake Forest University in 2004, where she was Senior Articles Editor of the Wake Forest Law Review and a member of the Wake Forest Moot Court Board Executive Council. Sarah is also a member of the Order of the Coif. She is admitted to practice before all state courts in North Carolina, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. |
