Sarah Johnson Schermerhorn joined the Ellis Hospital Board of Trustees in 1997. Currently she serves as a member of the hospital's Finance, Mental Health, Planning and Executive Committees. Mrs. Schermerhorn also serves on the Ellis Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees, which she joined in 1993. She is a past Chairman of the Ellis Hospital Board of Trustees, and Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Foundation Board.
Mrs. Schermerhorn is a long time community volunteer, dedicating her time and leadership to a number of community organizations. She is the Vice Chairman of The Schenectady Foundation, a member of the Charlton Historical Society, and a member of the Board of Governors of the Healthcare Trustees of New York State.
Mrs. Schermerhorn earned her bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has studied Fund Raising at Siena College, Loudonville, NY and through the National Society of Fund Raising Executives. |
