Susan M. (Sandy) Tarrant is an associate in Casner & Edwards’ Nonprofit Organizations Law Practice. She specializes in the representation of nonprofit organizations, foundations and charitable trusts, and of businesses and individuals in matters involving philanthropy. Ms. Tarrant advises nonprofit organizations with respect to transactional and business matters, joint ventures, issues pertaining to corporate law, tax exemption, fiduciary and governance responsibilities, fundraising and donor matters, and charitable trust law. In addition, she counsels directors, trustees, businesses and professional groups in transactional matters involving nonprofit organizations or charitable activity. Prior to joining Casner & Edwards, Ms. Tarrant was an associate at the Boston law firm Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. Prior to beginning her legal practice, Ms. Tarrant worked in varying capacities for several nonprofit organizations in New England. Ms. Tarrant is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School and a B.A. from Boston College, and a Graduate Certificate from the Program for Women in Politics and Government. |
