Sandy Mishkin is co-founder and president of CCA Global Partners, a retail innovator whose unique business model enables thousands of independent retailers to compete successfully with large national corporations. CCA is comprised of 15 divisions and affiliates including Carpet One Floor & Home, FloorExpo, Flooring America, Flooring One, International Design Guild, Lenders One, Lighting One, ProSource, Rug Décor, Stone Mountain Flooring Outlet/ GCO Flooring Outlet, Flooring Canada and The Biking Solution. With annual sales of $9.6 billion, CCA companies collectively have nearly 3,600 locations in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. In the past eight years, CCA Global's retail sales have increased by 544% and its number of stores worldwide has increased by 472%.
Mishkin's responsibilities include directing purchasing, product development, and merchandising for this retailing giant. His product development and merchandising skills have played a key role in CCA's ability to offer the exclusive products and brands that differentiate the company from competitors. Mishkin was instrumental in forging the agreements that gave Carpet One Floor & Home the exclusive worldwide rights to the Bigelow® brand and creating the revolutionary Lees line, both significant milestones in the company's growth.
As a long-time industry leader, Mishkin met CCA co-founders Howard Brodsky and Alan Greenberg through his involvement in the American Floorcovering Association, now the World Floorcovering Association.
Prior to launching CCA with Brodsky and Greenberg, Mishkin was vice president of merchandising at Horizon Mills. He also served as vice president of merchandising at Trend Mills and as buyer specializing in floor coverings/furniture for E. J. Korvette.
Mishkin is also co-founder of the Scott G. Mishkin Foundation, to honor his son, Scott, who passed away in January 2001 after a long battle with desmoplastic small round cell tumor, a rare form of Cancer. The foundation is currently developing a Web site to offer guidance to families who are
CCA Global Partners.
dealing with a loved one recently diagnosed with a rare cancer. The organization also provides funding to Camp Sunshine, a camp for children with cancer.
Mishkin is also a co-chairman of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). The New York City native is a graduate of New York University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics in 1962. He now resides in Atlanta.
