Sandra M. DiVarco is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s Chicago office. Sandy is a member of the Health Law Department and maintains a general health law practice, focusing on representation of hospitals and health systems. She has counseled clients regarding health law transactions and health system restructurings, as well as regulatory, licensure and accreditation issues. In 2004, Sandy was part of the team responsible for divesting a $281 million health system.
Prior to joining McDermott, Sandy worked in risk management at a large academic medical center. She is a registered nurse with a background in neonatal intensive care nursing.
During law school, Sandy was a member of the Loyola Law Journal and served as a student articles editor.
Sandy is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Illinois Association of Health Law Attorneys, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Illinois and Chicago Bar Associations. She is admitted to practice in Illinois.
