Sandra Blethen joins Tercica from Serono, Inc. where she served as vice president, Medical Affairs, Metabolic Endocrinology. At Serono, Dr. Blethen led the development and implementation of a web-based registry for a growth hormone product. In addition, she led a team that developed a large phase IIIb clinical trial and served as medical monitor of the study. Prior to her tenure at Serono, Dr. Blethen worked at Genentech, Inc. for six years, most recently as a senior clinical scientist. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago. She obtained her doctorate in Biochemistry at the University of California, Berkeley and her medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University in New York. |
