Sam Sciple, became Vice President and Director of Internal Audit on March 1, 2003. Previously, Mr. Sciple served as Vice President and CFO of Jeffreys Steel Company, Mobile, Alabama, where he had been employed since 1979. Jeffreys Steel Company, comprised of nine services centers located through the Southeast, was acquired by Metals USA in September 1997. After the acquisition, Mr. Sciple remained with the Company in the capacity of regional controller for the Plates and Shapes Southeast service centers until January 2001. He then relocated to the corporate office in Houston where he served as Controller for the Plates and Shapes Group. Mr. Sciple remained in that position until he assumed his current position. Mr. Sciple is a Certified Public Accountant and prior to joining Jeffreys Steel Company was employed by a national accounting firm. |
