Samuel Morasca Board of Directors Sam Morasca is a business management consultant and advisor to a number of middle market companies since retiring as Vice President of Marketing for Shell Oil Company in 2000. He is also on a number of company boards and has served as an Executive Professor at the University of Houston Bauer Graduate School of Business and guest lecturer for the Rice University MBA program. As a management advisor, he provides assistance to CEO’s and Leadership teams in strategy formulation, business development guidance, sales & marketing execution, business performance management and organizational effectiveness. Mr. Morasca has extensive general management experience as a result of a 30 year career with Shell in both U.S. and International assignments in the areas of business management, strategic planning, sales/marketing, commodity trading, manufacturing, transportation and distribution. He became head of Shell’s nationwide gasoline products business in 1994. This position encompassed fuels and convenience store P/L responsibility; sales, marketing and brand management; business development and network planning; product supply; real estate/construction and retail operations. The last two years also involved the integration of Shell’s marketing activities with the Texaco brand network forming a 23,000 unit retail system. In 1992, as Vice-President Ventures for Shell, Mr. Morasca led efforts to develop and negotiate large-scale oil products supply and manufacturing joint ventures with government oil companies. This work produced successful alliances which have been recognized as industry pace setting. Other assignments included heading Shell Western Hemisphere products and feed stocks trading activity, U.S. crude oil supply operations, the tanker chartering division and chemical logistics planning. Mr. Morasca received a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University and a MBA from the Carroll School at Boston College. He also served on active duty for four years as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force. |
