Sam Shoemaker joined Morton’s Electronic Materials Division in the United States in 1984. He held several positions of increasing responsibility in Research and Development and Technical Service before becoming a product manager in 1989.
In 1993, Mr. Shoemaker was promoted to Morton’s Regional Sales and Marketing manager for Asia. After Rohm and Haas acquired Morton in 1999, Mr. Shoemaker became a business director in the company’s Electronic Materials business group. Two years later, he was named managing director for ShipleyRonal in Asia for the businesses that are today part of the Packaging and Finishing Technologies and Circuit Board Technologies businesses.
In 2005, Mr. Shoemaker was asked to serve as the director, Asia-Pacific region (APR) for Electronic Materials, and that same year, he accepted broader responsibilities as the Company’s overall director for APR Strategic Planning. His responsibilities were enhanced in 2005 when he was promoted to APR regional director for Rohm and Haas and named business unit director for the Circuit Board Technologies business unit. He assumed his current position in 2007.
Mr. Shoemaker was elected a vice president of Rohm and Haas Company in 2005.
He earned his B.A. degree in Chemistry from the University of San Diego in 1986.
He and his family reside in Landenberg, Pennsylvania. |
