Sam Nunn, age 68, has been co-chairman and chief executive officer of the Nuclear Threat Initiative, a charitable organization, since January 2001.Prior Positions Held: Nunn was a partner of King & Spalding, a law firm, from 1997 until 2003. He served as U.S. senator from Georgia from 1972 until 1996. During his tenure in the U.S. Senate, he served as chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee and the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.
