COL (retired) Sam Liberatore is EDSS' Sector President and has overall management responsibilities for EDSS contract performance. He has over 35 years of experience in major weapons system operations, research, development, and acquisition, and in management of complex DoD organizations. He has over 16 years of industry experience leading technical programs involving system design, engineering integration, analysis, test, and evaluation. Mr. Liberatore has been with EDSS since 1994.

Mr. Liberatore oversees all EDSS operations, including those at four field offices and 29 customer locations nation-wide. Reporting to him are the Senior Vice President for Product Solutions, the Vice President for Software Engineering and Information Technology Solutions, the Director of Space Programs, and the Director of Advanced Telecommunications Programs. These business areas perform contracts ranging in value from several thousand to over 200 million dollars. Customers include the US Army, Air Force, and Navy; NASA; the Environmental Protection Agency; Department of Energy; Defense Intelligence Agency; Department of Health & Human Services; the States of Alabama and Tennessee; and a variety of industry leaders such as Lockheed Martin, Teledyne Brown Engineering, and Intergraph. Mr. Liberatore also oversees the EDSS quality programs. The Quality manager reports to him.

Mr. Liberatore earned his MS degree in Guided Missile Engineering from the University of Texas, El Paso and his BS degree in Mathematics from Loyola College, MD
